Description
So, this is my entry for 
The story behind this piece is that when I read the prompt for Art Challenges,II: 21st Century Mythology-EXTENDED, I was immediately reminded of how when I was a little girl and my Mom drove me to school every weekday morning, each day Mom and I would joke about "'the traffic-light gods" and whether or not they were on our side that morning. So, here you have the Traffic-light god and goddess - born in a lab in Olympia and created by the god of Technology and Science specifically to reign over all motorists, part god and part machine they can control many things from the workings of motors to the durability of tires; but it is their power over traffic-lights that earns them the title as the God and Goddess of Traffic-lights. I chose to depict them in the style of comic-books because gods and goddesses inspired many comic-book characters, including multiple superheroes who could be considered the modern equivalent of ancient mythology.
